DSGN’s master plan took an illegal dumping site and transformed it into a secluded, wooded neighborhood for 50 modern homes. The front yards and common areas are landscaped with native,⁠ ecologically friendly plants. Rain gardens on the “wet” side of the street collect and filter runoff before it is directed into one of two ponds and reused for irrigation. The higher, “dry” side of the street is planted with drought-resistant species that don’t need irrigation.⁠
