Hotel Seguin is a mixed-use infill project located adjacent to the historic town square of Seguin, Texas. The project will include a 100-room boutique hotel, renovation of two historic 19th century buildings, several restaurants and bars, rooftop gardens, a wedding venue, and critically needed meeting space. The design concept recognizes a critical north-south axis that runs from the site through the town square and on to the historic county courthouse on the opposite side.

The architecture is intentionally diverse and eclectic, responding to the prevailing urban fabric of downtown Seguin. The primary elevation maintains the sale of the square and features the double-height Garden Court, an interior meeting space that will function as hotel lobby, community gathering space, and iconic entrance. A pair of rooftop gardens will provide outdoor gathering space within the complex, one for private functions and the other as an exterior bar, overlooking the square.

The five story room wings are set back from the primary facade, and oriented to provide views for all rooms, either to the street or to an interior garden. Exterior materials — brick, cast stone, glass, and dark metals — are selected for compatibility with context, as well as variety and scale.
