Kevin W. Sloan Park converted the former Jefferson-Twelfth Connector into a public park, reconnecting the historic Winnetka Heights street grid. It is one of the few parks named after its designer, Kevin W. Sloan and features four distinct open spaces: Park, Grove, Green, and Garden, all connected by braided garden pathways while preserving most of the existing mature trees.

The park not only honors the memory and civic contributions of Kevin Sloan, but brings much-needed open space into the revitalizing Winnetka Heights and surrounding neighborhoods along Jefferson Boulevard.
