Located in Dallas’ Lake Cliff Historic District, 514 North Marsalis was constructed circa 1925 as a private two-story residence. The character of North Marsalis has changed greatly over time.

As a Contributing Structure in the Lake Cliff Historic District, the exterior was protected and the design team worked closely with City of Dallas preservation staff and Landmark Commission to sensitively renovate it to the Secretary of the Interior’s standards. Extensive repairs and refurbishments were made to original windows and doors and the brick veneer, wood soffits and fascias were repaired as necessary.

Once derelict and abandoned, 514 North Marsalis has become a desirable collaborative workspace with high-quality daylight, systems, finishes, and views for employers and visitors of the current occupant, Prekindle (an innovative, online ticket sales platform). 514 is now a prime example of the potential of incorporation existing urban fabric to revitalize the North Marsalis corridor in the Lake Cliff Historic District.
